Woman: My step-father tried to run me over

 A Walled Lake woman’s step-father allegedly attempted to run her over with his vehicle after she moved out of the house on Friday, Feb. 3.

The woman told police that her stepfather was dropping off some of her things in a parking lot on the north side of 14 Mile Road near East Walled Lake Drive when he sped out of the lot at high rate of speed and allegedly attempted to run her over with his car.

Three of the woman’s friends reportedly witnessed the incident and corroborated her story.

Both Walled Lake and Novi police responded to the scene.

The case has been turned over to detectives for an investigation.
