White Lake time capsule will be buried in 2012

White Lake Township is celebrating 175 years this year and, as such, the township is preparing a time capsule to commemorate the milestone.
One of the items going into the time capsule will be a book filled with the names and addresses of White Lake residents.
According to Trustee Carol Burkard, the book is being kept at the White Lake Township library at least until the end of the month.
The time capsule will be buried sometime next year with all the items that were accumulated over 2011 to represent the township’s 175th year.
“It’s exciting,” Burkard said. “I’m excited for the time capsule.”
The White Lake Township library is located at 7527 Highland Road in White Lake.
