Tips sought in Feb. 1 jewelry store robbery

Waterford Township police are investigating a robbery that occurred Wednesday, Feb. 1 at Ronnie’s Jewelers, located at 7716 Cooley Lake Road.

Police responded when a burglar alarm was activated at 5:15 a.m. that day.

Upon arrival, officers found the glass front door of the business shattered and several display cases containing merchandise broken. Various items were listed as missing.

A review of the store video surveillance system shows one subject enter the store, open the display cases, remove merchandise and exit the store.

The incident is currently under investigation.
