Pedestrian struck, killed in Feb. 4 accident

White Lake Township resident Calvin Bacon, 21, was walking along Carroll Lake Road at around 9:40 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 4 when a southbound vehicle struck and killed him.

The driver was a 60-year-old Commerce Township woman who was uninjured in the accident.

According to the Oakland County Sheriff’s Department, it’s currently undetermined what Bacon was doing in the roadway, as it appears he was struck while in the middle of the southbound lane.

The crash remains under the investigation by the sheriff department’s Crash Reconstruction Unit.

It’s currently unknown whether alcohol was a factor in the crash.
