Milford man caught with heroin, other drugs
Milford police last week arrested a 29-year-old Milford man for possession of heroin after receiving a call about a suspicious vehicle.
The incident took place on Thursday, Nov. 24 at 5:26 a.m. at a residence on Pleasure Street, after a caller reported an occupied vehicle sitting in front of his residence with the engine and vehicle lights off.
When the resident turned on the porch lights, the car drove across the street to another residence.
Officers visited the residence across the street and spoke with the homeowner, who then called down his roommate.
A search of the roommate turned up an orange-capped syringe and a metal spoon with residue, wrapped in a plastic bag sticking out of his pants pocket.
The man was arrested and it was discovered that he had three prescription bottles that were prescribed to him.
One of the bottles had an abundance of different pills and a folded piece of paper, while another bottle had two pills and the third had numerous pills of the same type.
The paper contained a tan, powder substance which, when tested, proved to be heroin, according to police.
The pills included Oxycontin and Suboxone.
When photos were taken of the man at the police station, there were needle marks on his arm which he said was from blood work by a doctor, according to a Milford Police Department report.
But after an interview with police, the man said that the syringe, spoon and heroin was his.
The man will be charged with possession of heroin, possession of synthetic drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.
