Dec. 2 car fire began in the passenger seat

Commerce Township Firefighters responded to a vehicle fire at 2:58 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 2 in the 8100 block of Cooley Lake Road.

According to the homeowner, the vehicle had not been driven for over a week. Firefighters determined that the fire started in the vehicle’s passenger seat.

The blaze is being further investigated.
