Man, 29, dies when he is struck by two vehicles
A Commerce Township man was killed when he was struck by a car on Thursday, March 17 in Waterford Township. The accident occurred at 10:34 p.m. on Cass Elizabeth Road near Iroquois Avenue. Couple safe after fire damages their home
A Waterford Township couple is safe, but has been displaced after a fire ravaged their home on Sunday, March 20. Firefighters responded to the home in the 4100 block of Quillen after a 911 call was received around 11:30 a.m. Upon arrival, firefighters found smoke coming from the second floor of the home. Police investigating burn hole at school
White Lake Township police are investigating an incident that occurred at Dublin Elementary School sometime between Monday, March 14 and Tuesday, March 15. A small hole was burned into the siding on the outside of the building near the Media Center. It appears as if the hole was created using a lighter, causing approximately $200 worth of damage. There are currently no suspects at this time.

Suspect in fraud cases arrested and arraigned
A suspect in several alleged frauds, including one in Milford, was arrested in Fort Wayne, Ind. on Tuesday, March 15 before being extradited to Michigan and arraigned in 52-1 District Court in Novi. The suspect, 43-year-old Samuel Demetrious Hill, is currently being held on a $500,000 bond. He was charged with allegedly obtaining money under false pretenses. Computer, video game unit stolen from home
A residence in the 1000 block of Cedar Creek Road in White Lake Township was broken into sometime between 9:30 p.m. Sunday, March 13 and 9 a.m. Monday, March 14. Waterford woman hit, killed by pickup truck
A 58-year-old Waterford woman was fatally struck by a vehicle on Walton Boulevard in the township on Monday, March 14. According to Waterford Police Sergeant Kevin Kazyak, Marian Kauilani Sadowski was walking westbound in the middle of Walton near Sashabaw Road when a GMC pickup truck driven by a 33-year-old Waterford resident struck her. Man gets life sentence for fatally stabbing wife
An Oakland County Circuit Court judge has sentenced 47-year-old Ellery Bennett of West Bloomfield Township to life in prison without parole for the stabbing death of his wife. Five arrested in melee at bar in Walled Lake
Several people were arrested for participating in a fight at the Bayside Grille in Walled Lake on Sunday, Feb. 20, including a father and son.
