Lunch honoring volunteers with Parks & Rec today

Sledding hill in Commerce to be named in contest
The Commerce Township Parks and Recreation Committee proposed guidelines for a “Name the Hill” contest at the Tuesday, April 10 Commerce Township Board of Trustees meeting, but the contest has been postponed. Wixom’s new RRRASOC contract expands items accepted
The city of Wixom has extended its contract with Waste Management, a move that will also expand the range of recyclable materials accepted. The Wixom City Council approved the contract that was reviewed by the Resource, Recovery and Recycling Authority of Southwest Oakland County (RRRASOC) board, at its March 27 meeting. Both current Treasurer Forrest Jay Brendel and Trustee Todd Birkle have filed candidate paperwork to run for re-election in White Lake Township. 12 Mile/Beck intersection slated for improvements
The Wixom City Council has agreed to leverage Tri-party funds to facilitate improvements at the intersection of 12 Mile and Beck roads.
