Five vehicles were shot at as they were driven north on Wixom Road from south of Pontiac Trail to an area near Charms Road around 2:15 p.m. yesterday, Thursday, Oct. 18, marking the second shooting incident in the city in as many days.
Wixom police say the shootings on Thursday resulted in no injuries. There are no known suspects in the shootings, which occurred within a 2- to 3-minute time span. In addition, the make and model of the vehicle used during the shootings is unknown.
The incident remains under investigation.
This comes two days after a pair of 911 callers reported that they heard gunshots in the area of N. Wixom and Loon Lake roads around 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 16.
One of the callers said he thought he heard a bullet passing by his head as he was taking out his garbage. The other caller said he was driving north on N. Wixom Road when a suspect vehicle passed by him traveling southbound, according to a Wixom Police Department press release.
That caller’s vehicle sustained damage to its front driver-side tire as a result of being shot at, police said. They believe the suspect was shooting a pistol out the driver-side window of the vehicle, which was described as a dark sports car with blue-tinted headlamp covers. One witness told police the vehicle may be a Ford Mustang based on the style and pattern of the turn signals.
There were no reported injuries in the Oct. 16 incident.

I Just Want to Say.
Thank You Wixom Police Department.
As always who puts themselves in harm’s way? They do. It was very comforting to see them this morning outside of our schools protecting our children. I have lived in this city for 20 years. I have raised 3 children here one still attending Walled Lake Western and a 4 year old grandson attending Wixom Pre School. Thank you for the extra patrols to protect not only my children but, all of Wixom’s Children.
Sincerely
Denise

@Denise, actually, the police are always at the schools in the mornings to make sure there isn’t anyone speeding thru the school zones, I’ve seen them there in the mornings all the time, so its not any different from any other day.

I agree with you Denise, they are doing a wonderful job and I’m sure that they appreciate your kind words. I am sorry that some people are so negative and always find something to complain about.

Mass Shootings/Wixom Area:
Shhhhh…..We shouldn’t distract Sheriff Bouchard from his daily work – that being, running for the Senate, the Governorship, or some other political post (ANY political post in case readers do not know his history) in the Romney hoped-for administration.
There’s another “puzzle” to be solved in Oakland County. MISSING: L. BROOKS PATTERSON. Known to have incurred serious head injuries that required surgery (not just stitches) and several broken bones. Known also to have been re–hospitalized the weekend of October 19th, 2012. No reporting, whatsoever, of the head surgery he received, and no reporting, whatsoever, of the fact he was hospitalized again this past weekend. Amazing, eh? Honest journalism and reporting appears to be DEAD in Michigan.
Oakland County Voters are offering a reward for at least a 5-minute live-video interview prior to the election. Oakland County Voters are also offering a reward for the removal of his name from the November 6th ballot should no one be able to produce evidence that Patterson remains able and competent to fill the job of Executive.
So many “puzzles” and so little time.

“No reporting, whatsoever, of the head surgery he received, and no reporting, whatsoever, of the fact he was hospitalized again this past weekend.”
Curious. If there was no reporting of it, then how did you find out about it?
