Timothy Lee Hopson

Waterford police officers arrested a man allegedly responsible for shooting a Walled Lake man in the early morning hours of Sunday, July 22.

Officers responded to the 400 block of Glenbrooke at around 1:55 a.m. and reportedly observed an 18-year-old male on the ground in the parking lot with a gunshot wound to the chest. The victim was transported to an area hospital, where he was being treated for his injuries.

Hopson was arraigned before 51st District Court Judge Richard Kuhn on one felony count of assault with intent to murder, one count of possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and one count of possession of marijuana.

Hopson was given a $250,000 cash bond and is being lodged at the Oakland County Jail.
