The Waterford Area Chamber of Commerce’s 12th annual Golf Classic will be held on Aug. 10 at the Pontiac Country Club as another way for businesses and their customers to enjoy a day of fun in the sun.
“It’s a great way for people to relax, skip work and network on the course,” said Marie Hauswirth, the chamber’s executive director.
The event starts at 8:30 a.m. with a shotgun scramble. The $125 ticket price includes a bloody Mary bar in the morning, as well as a continental breakfast, hot dogs at the turn, a buffet lunch afterwards, and two cocktail tickets.
There will be chipping contests, door prizes, gifts for golfers, and prizes on the course.
Golfers will earn the chance to win a Chevrolet Volt complements of Lunghamer GMC.
As an added plus, former Detroit Red Wing Ted Lindsay will be featured as the celebrity golfer this year.
Sponsors include Buffalo Wild Wings, Costco, and Coffee Break Services, Inc.
