Voting for Debbrecht

From Walter H. Bedell, Waterford Township:

I have had the privilege of working as a prosecutor at the 51st District Court in Waterford for 32 years. I have met hundreds of judges by appearing in different courts in the state.

We currently have a judge at the 51st District Court who has done an outstanding job and deserves to be elected. Her name is Jodi Debbrecht. She has been a leader in the fight against Spice, K2, and drug abuse, and her efforts have made our community safer for our children and grandchildren. I encourage all voters in Waterford to vote for Judge Jodi Debbrecht.

Hey, isn’t Walt Bedell the former Township Attorney who sued property owners forcing sewer hook-ups while cutting a deal for the people on Blaine Island?

We don’t need your advice on this issue.

She sounds amazing she is transplanted from Macomb twp. And really has little or no interest in anything except show standing for votes, i can only hope you look at her record prior to voting and i think a better Judge would be Andrea Dean look at that record and then tell me who you want making your lifes safer. If the transplant Judge can make such a safer Waterford in just a short time why did’nt Mr Bedell do that a long time ago?

Debbrecht is the one to beat for this election. She has proven during her time in Waterford that she has stalwart leadership and is impassioned for this community. She has done amazing work through the drug court, and literally was the catalyst for all this K2 spice outlawing. She held a town hall 6 months ago and has been practically touring the area and letting others use the information she prepared.

Andrea Dean would NOT be a better judge. She butchered many cases as an Oakland County Prosecutor and I FEAR for what would happen to Waterford if someone such as herself is elected. There are *many* favors to return in her campaign. The Waterford courts need fresh blood, and Jodi Debbrecht has been a breath of fresh air.

Fact of the matter, Mr. Bedell had applied for the position and it went to Debbrecht. It speaks VOLUMES about Debbrecht that Mr. Bedell would support him, while the Dean camp attempted to use that fact against Debbrecht. Dean’s camp plays dirty, and it is apparent.

“She has done amazing work through the drug court, and literally was the catalyst for all this K2 spice outlawing. ”

Honestly, this has all been a huge waste of time since “K2″ has been banned both Nationally and at the State level. What possible benefit could there be from layers of redundant legislation? Especially, since ALL of the local bans of this dangerous drug place fines and punishment at a small fraction of that for Marijuana possession.

This all points to a hastily contrived, poorly thought out media show in which the SPINAL COLUMN has played it’s own role. It’s phony, veneer and as transparent as a crêpe de Chine .

Don’t forget “Jodi helps Joplin”… I think it is commendable to return and help out the Tornado victims but showing up with a videographer to film you off-loading trucks and incorporating your own name into the name of the relief fund tell us about true motivation.

Lastly, do not forget that Jodi is a Granholm appointee.

“Lastly, do not forget that Jodi is a Granholm appointee.”

Excellent point, and just another reason she has two votes coming from my address today.

Her Honor was going door-to-door in 90º heat last weekend to meet the people she serves. We had an excellent ten minute conversation on the positive things going on in Waterford, and about the lectures she has given and information shared about Spice/K2 with the kids at Mott and Kettering.

To point of “Redundant Legislation,” the workshops took place right around the same week the State was banning those substances; i.e., there was no bandwagon to jump on because it was all happening simultaneously. With three boys coming into grades 6, 7 and 11, I applaud Judge Debbrecht’s efforts and respect the time she spent with the students.
