An Oakland County Sheriff’s Department Commerce Township Substation deputy was helping a motorist involved in a hit-and-run accident along Union Lake Road north of Richardson Road around 1 a.m. Saturday, March 24, when his patrol car was struck by a dark-colored SUV traveling northbound.
The patrol vehicle, which had its flashing overhead lights on, was rendered undriveable due to damage to the right front fender, right front tire and rim, control arm, and front suspension.
The responsible vehicle fled the scene and continued driving before being located on a side street south of Commerce Road. The vehicle had also sustained damage to the right front and was not driveable.
The driver, an 18-year-old West Bloomfield Township resident, was arrested for operating while intoxicated and leaving the scene of an accident. Her blood-alcohol content was allegedly field tested at 0.24 percent, three times the legal limit, and she was lodged in the Oakland County Jail.
No one was reported injured in the accident.

Ahhh… how cute. Daddy’s little girl all grown up at 18.
Hope she gets nailed to the cross for this and gets both jail time and hefty fines.
Nothing good happens after midnight on the roads, and this proves it!
