West Bloomfield Township police officers responded to a report of a home invasion at a residence on Walnut Lake Road on Thursday, Sept. 29.
The burglary occurred sometime between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. that day, according to a West Bloomfield Police Department report. When the residents came home, they found the door-wall had been smashed.
Items taken from the home reportedly included $800 worth of clothing, $30,000 in cash, two generators, a 9-millimeter semi-automatic pistol and four rifles, as well as a credit card.
Police had the residents call the credit card company, which in turn reported that the card had been used at Great Lakes Crossing.
A description of the suspects was given and at about 11 p.m., a deputy with the Oakland County Sheriff’s Department spotted a vehicle at the Meijer store on Haggerty in Commerce Township that was suspected to related to recent home invasions.
The vehicle was stopped and the property from the Walnut Lake Road home invasion was found.
Two males, ages 27 and 38, and a female, age 34, were arrested.
