Protest was peaceful

With the national attention on the T.E.A. (Taxed Enough Already) Party and, after noting in (another Oakland County newspaper) there would be an event in Milford on Saturday, Sept. 3, I was surprised there was no follow-up story… regarding what occurred at the event.

My wife (64-years-old) and I (65-years-old) attended to see what so-called “terrorists” might look like in our local community. We were not surprised to find the media “terrorist” demographic attendees consisted of multi-racial, polite, well-behaved, mature individuals from all political party affiliations gathering together to peacefully protest their viewed erosion of liberty and the unrestrained spending by our elected officials. There were many signs indicating strong Christian beliefs and, from military hats and shirts worn, it appeared a large number have served in (the military) or support our service members.

If the T.E.A. Party is responsible for the demise of the stock market, stalemate in Washington, and most other ills associated with our society (as reported in local and national news outlets) I would think our local media would assign a reporter full time to investigate, and report on, our local T.E.A. Party follower interests.
