From George A. Goeddeke, White Lake Township:
Isn’t it wonderful that this Iraqi immigrant (Louie Boji, One Minute Interview subject, Aug. 24, 2011) has had such success in the United States and then turns around and blames the United States for not having a plan after taking over his beloved country! Wasn’t freeing all Iraqis from a brutal, murdering dictator enough? Why doesn’t Mr. Boji go back to Iraq with all his wealth and put “his plan” in place for his own country? No way! He wants it both ways — the prosperity of the United States and to criticize this country after all it has provided him. If he was worth his salt, he would pack up, go back to Iraq, and do something about it and not whine about it to those of us who are truly Americans!

Based on the shoddy reputation of the US for blowing up and tearing apart countless numbers of nations around the world (all under the pretexts of “Democracy) and then leaving behind nothing but one big giant mess (that has always come back to bit the US in it’s proverbial a##), would have to say that Louie’s comments are quite on the mark and mirror the same factual consensus of every critic of our convneient and now far to common “Wars to secure our addiction to oil”.

this whole country (u.s.a) was founded by immigrants, we are all from somewhere else or at least our ancestors were, with the exception of american indians so what makes george goeddeke think that he is truly american ? or more american than louie boji. it is very american to question our government and its actions. maybe if more people questioned our government, this county would not be in the shape its in right now, job shortages, homes foreclosures, bailouts, etc… mr. goeddeke does not provide an informed point of view on the subject just a nasty racist remark which clearly shows his ignorance. being born in the u.s.a makes us lucky but it is not all that makes an american, americans come from many places, in many colors, and speak many languages. the americans who were not born here know more about this country and feel more privileged to live here than those who were born here and take our freedom for granted.
