An allegedly inebriated young man was hauled off to jail Sunday, June 5 after he entered a house that he mistook for a house party.
Wolverine Lake police responded to a complaint lodged by a resident of the 900 block of Adelaide who stated a heavily intoxicated, shirtless white male attempted to enter his house. He further stated that he believed the man inadvertently walked into his house mistaking it for a house holding a party on the same street.
Police canvassed the area on the look out for the subject. They picked up a man that the complaintant positively identified. The subject was unsteady on his feet, and had a strong odor of intoxicants emanating from his breath.
The 19-year-old subject admitted to drinking eight beers and blew a 0.19 percent blood-alcohol level in a preliminary breath test.
After police checked the suspect’s background, it showed an outstanding warrant out of Dearborn Heights.
The man was issued a minor in possession of alcohol citation and placed under arrest. He was transported to the Wixom Police Department for booking and lodging.
