Captains' season ended with 3-2 loss in semi-final

Waterford Kettering saw its season come to an end with a 3-2 loss to Troy in a Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA) regional semi-final on Saturday, June 11 at Oxford.

The loss ended a season in which the Captains came into their own, coming within striking distance of the Kensington Lakes Activities Association (KLAA) North title with a third-place finish.

Troy would go on to defeat Romeo for the regional title later in the afternoon, marking its fifth-straight regional crown.
