A Walled Lake Northern High School student and her date allegedly were jumped last week at Northern’s senior prom at Shenandoah Country Club in West Bloomfield by four Detroit residents, in what police say may be a case of retaliation stemming from an earlier altercation.
The incident occurred on Thursday, June 2 as the victim, a 17-year-old West Bloomfield resident, and her date got out of their car to go into the prom.
As they were walking toward the building entrance, they allegedly were assaulted by four subjects. According to a West Bloomfield Police Department report, there was ripping of the girl’s prom dress and hair pulling.
The suspects then fled the scene and the victim reported the incident to police the next day.
The main suspect is an 18-year-old female from Detroit, while two accomplices are reported to be a 21-year-old male and a 26-year-old female who might be related to the main suspect.
The victim told police she believes the June 2 incident occurred because of an altercation between her and one of the suspects in Detroit two weeks ago.
Police are seeking a warrant.
