Local artists set to perform at charity concert on Friday

Huron Valley Schools will be hosting a benefit concert on Friday, June 10 with proceeds going to Lakeland Family Assistance and the Huron Valley Education Fund.

Infinity Hour, a rock group featuring Huron Valley Schools students; singer/songwriter Lewis Hensley; hip hop artist Brilliance; and American Idol contestant Cody Sheldon will team with other performers to “Rock the Community” at Lakeland High School, located at 1630 Bogie Lake Road in White Lake, beginning at 7 p.m.

The event is slated to end at 10 p.m.

Proceeds from the concert will be donated to the Lakeland Family Assistance Fund. The goal is to raise $5,000 for local families for basic needs such as food, clothing, shelter, and other necessities.

Moreover, $1 of each ticket sold will be donated to the Huron Valley Education Fund for student grant assistance.

The concert is intended for people of all ages. A free Infinity Hour CD will be included with each $7 pre-sale ticket. The show features a special rate of $20 for a family of four. Tickets will be $10 at the door the night of the concert.

Pre-sale tickets are available at Lakeland High School, and are also sold during lunch at Milford High School, Oak Valley Middle School, and White Lake Middle School until Thursday, June 9.

The concert will be held at the Lakeland High School Fieldhouse.
