Raising awareness of 'no-kill' animal shelters

On June 4-5, the Waterford Hills Road Racing track will hold a race to promote awareness of “no-kill” animal shelters and raise money for such shelters in the metro Detroit area.

Aaron Bambach’s team will be racing a 2008 Ford Mustang GT 4.6L 3 valve V8 in the STO/ST2 Class. This race is race No. 2 in a season of six races. The course is a 1.5-mile natural terrain course.

Waterford Hills Road Racing has been host to races like these for 50 years. The event is open to the public and requires an entrance fee of $10. It runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, June 4-5. Saturday will consist of a practice race, qualifying race, and then a standing start race. Sunday will have two races during the day.

Waterford Hills Road Racing is located within the Oakland County Sportsmen’s Club at 4770 Waterford Road in Clarkston.

Great!! Nothing much better than a ‘no-kill’ animal sanctuary for our abused, neglected and innocent animals. Those who sacrifice, work, play or do whatever to further the work and word of saving animals are my heroes.
