'Sadly disappointed'

From Highland Township Trustee Barry Sherman:

I, as many other residents, am sadly disappointed with the vote of both state Rep. Eileen Kowall (R-Highland, White Lake) and state Sen. Mike Kowall (R-Commerce, Highland, Milford, Walled Lake, Wixom, Wolverine Lake, White Lake, Orchard Lake, West Bloomfield) in voting to tax the pensions of our retirees. Adding $538 million in new taxes on the backs of our seniors is disgraceful! I would welcome a public explanation by both legislators for this additional tax burden on those who can least afford it in our community.
