A man allegedly assaulted another man in the suspect’s wife’s home in Walled Lake only a day after he was arrested for attacking his wife.
The incident occurred on Saturday, May 14 in the 800 block of Hawk.
Police were alerted to be on the look out for a suspect at the residence. He allegedly had violated his conditional bond release and had attacked someone at the home.
The suspect had fled on foot by the time police arrived on the scene, according to Walled Lake Police Department reports. The night before, he allegedly assaulted his wife and was arrested, but was released on personal bond that morning. He was prohibited from making contact with his wife or entering the residence.
Police were unable to locate the suspect.
According to police reports, officers made contact with the man who was assaulted. He stated the suspect walked into the woman’s bedroom and choked him to the point where he temporarily lost consciousness. Once the suspect released the victim, he then reportedly punched him in the face right below the eye.
Police officers observed swelling on the victim’s face.
The victim further stated that the suspect threatened to kill him and the female homeowner. He added that he feared for his life.
Police are seeking a warrant for for the suspect for assault and battery.
