Tremendous support

From Oakland County Commissioner Bob Hoffman, Highland:

Thank you for your support in the primary election May 3. I am honored to be your choice to represent the Republican Party in the Aug. 2 special election for the 2nd District County Commissioner seat.

I had a tremendous group of campaign volunteers whose friendship and constant enthusiasm made the road to the primary election a joyful path.

The support of community leaders and business leaders, many of whom I have known for years, amazed and humbled me. Some of you live outside the 2nd District and can’t even vote for me, but based on our past experiences together, sent me a check or an endorsement or a word of encouragement, anyway.

I enjoyed making many new friends over spaghetti dinners and pancake breakfasts and celebratory luncheons.

But by far the most satisfying part of the primary campaign was the kind reception I received from 2nd District residents as I campaigned door to door. Thank you so much for welcoming me. From those who responded with no more than a nod and a smile, to those who shared their concerns with me, to those with whom I discovered an unrealized past connection, each of you filled me with pride in our great community.

Please join me in continuing our journey together toward the Aug. 2 election. I promise to remain accessible to you and to continue to meet more of you, your friends, and your family. Together, let’s ensure that Oakland County remains a great place to raise a family, to start a business, and to enjoy a safe and happy life.
