West Bloomfield Township police responded to an alleged felonious domestic assault incident involving a knife at a residence during the early morning hours of Sunday, May 15.
Police arrived at the residence around 3 a.m. and were met at the front door by the 40-year-old male homeowner, who had minor bleeding on his left forearm and told officers that his wife, 39, was in their bedroom with a knife.
Officers confronted the woman and she surrendered without incident.
Police reportedly noticed small lacerations on the man’s forearm and behind his ear. He told officer they were having typical marital arguments and that this wife stabbed him.
Both subjects were arrested for domestic assault and assault with a dangerous weapon.
The man was issued a citation for domestic assault and police sought a felony warrant for the woman.
The couple’s three children, 19, 16, and 13, were in the house at the time of the incident.
