Women cited for alleged prostitution

West Bloomfield Township police have completed a sting operation that resulted in the arrest of two women suspected of engaging in prostitution.

The sting took place on Tuesday, April 5 around 2:30 p.m., when an undercover police officer entered a residence on the 7900 block of Detroit Boulevard after police received a tip about illegal massages allegedly taking place in the home.

The officer pretended to be a client and was receiving a massage that allegedly turned sexual, and then gave other officers the word to come in and arrest the women.

The suspects, a 27-year-old who lives in the residence and a 20-year-old Farmington resident, were arrested and issued ordinance citations for prostitution.

The women are expected to be arraigned in 48th District Court on Wednesday, April 20.
