The West Bloomfield Interact Club and the West Bloomfield High School Japanese Club will be presenting a benefit concert to aid the victims of the recent earthquake and tsunami in Japan.
The concert will be held on Friday, April 15 at Orchard Lake Middle School from 7 to 9 p.m., with all proceeds from the event being donated to the Red Cross.
The concert will include musical performances by West Bloomfield students, as well as a raffle and refreshments.

The West Bloomfield Interact Club held its first meeting on Nov. 30 last year at Orchard Lake Middle School, and meets on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month in the school’s media center.
The Interact Club has youth clubs in over 120 countries, with 250,000 members and focuses on community and international service projects.
West Bloomfield’s chapter of Interact is a branch of the West Bloomfield Rotary Club.
Japan is still recovering after a March 11 earthquake that measured 9.0 on the Richter Scale, resulting in a tsunami that devastated the country’s northeast coast.
The disaster has resulted in the deaths of over 13,000 people so far, with thousands missing and others homeless.
