Our Lady opens season with three shutout victories

Waterford Our Lady of the Lakes/Everest Collegiate, the reigning Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA) Division 4 state champion, began its 2011 season with three straight shutout victories.

Our Lady opened the year with a 4-0 shutout victory over Summit Academy on Monday, March 28.

Megan Topolewski, Gia Adams, Ava Doetsch and Anna Robb each scored a goal while Ally Albright picked up the victory in net.

Our Lady then followed up with a 3-0 shutout of Marine City Cardinal Mooney on Tuesday, March 28.

All three goals were scored in the second half as Topolewski scored two goals and Abbey Troy scored while Albright picked up her second shutout of the season in net.

Our Lady then finished the week with a 2-0 victory over Royal Oak Shrine on Thursday, March 31.

Both goals were scored in the second half as Jessica Parry and Brianna Topolewski each scored a goal while Albright capped off her week with a trio of shutouts.

Our Lady’s team includes Megan Topolewski, Farrah Nordman, Jessica Parry and Kayliegh Meloni, who are coming off winning their second consecutive Class D state championship in girls basketball.

    Ava Doetsch, also, is on the Lady Laker Soccer team and coming off the Girls Basketball Team winning their second State Championship.
