Knights lose two; Central, Western split pair of games

Walled Lake Northern dropped two games last week to fall to 9-10 on the season. Northern began the week with a 70-41 loss at Brighton on Wednesday, Feb. 23. Lock nabs scoring record as Eagles secure two wins

Huron Valley Lakeland scored two wins this past week and senior Stephanie Lock set a new school record in the process. Lakers rout Oxford, Oak Park to wrap up regular season

West Bloomfield scored two wins last week to finish the regular season and enter the state tournament this week with some momentum on its side. The Lakers started the week on Tuesday, Feb. 22 with a 52-26 victory over Oak Park (2-16) in their home finale. Waterford Kettering will head into the Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA) District Tournament as a major contender after notching two wins last week to finish the regular season at 19-1 after finishing 12-8 last year. Lakeland ends the regular season with a 4-1 victory

Huron Valley Lakeland completed the regular season with a 4-1 victory over Grand Blanc at Lakeland Ice Arena on Saturday, Feb. 26. After 8-1 drubbing by Mott, Lakers respond with a ‘W’

Waterford Kettering and West Bloomfield clashed on Friday, Feb. 25 with the Captains prevailing, 8-1. Zach Zimmerman finished with four goals and two assists for the Captains (13-7-4), while Nick Murphy scored his 40th goal of the season. Mott triumphant in overtime win; falls 4-1 to Farmington

Waterford Mott split its final two games last week before the state playoff tournament begins. The Corsairs (16-8) began the week with a 4-3 win over Clarkston in overtime on Wednesday, Feb. 23. Mott led 3-1 after the second period before Clarkston scored two goals to force overtime, where Mott scored the game-winner.
