West Bloomfield, Northern and Western upended

West Bloomfield’s season ended at the hands of Livonia Stevenson, 6-2, in a Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA) Division 1 pre-regional game on Monday, Feb. 28.

The score was tied at 1-1 after the first period before Stevenson erupted for four goals in the second period to take control of the game.

Zach Rogow and Andrew Murphy each scored for West Bloomfield (13-11-1), which was outshot by Stevenson, 44-12.

Nate Sink scored two goals for Stevenson, which would be eliminated by Orchard Lake St. Mary’s in the pre-regional final two nights later.

Walled Lake Northern’s season was ended by Hartland, 3-2, in an MHSAA Division 2 pre-regional game at Hartland Sports Center on Tuesday, March 1.

Cameron LaDouceur scored with 1:33 left in the game for Northern to cut Hartland’s lead to one, but the Eagles lead would stand.

Connor Hellebuyck made 28 saves in net for the Knights, who finished the season at 6-15-1.

Walled Lake Western (11-9-1) fell in overtime, 4-3, to Pinckney in an MHSAA Division 2 pre-regional game on Monday, Feb. 28.
