Waterford Mott split its final two games last week before the state playoff tournament begins.
The Corsairs (16-8) began the week with a 4-3 win over Clarkston in overtime on Wednesday, Feb. 23.
Mott led 3-1 after the second period before Clarkston scored two goals to force overtime, where Mott scored the game-winner.
Colin Larkin, JD Clemence and Scott Cuthrell each had a goal and an assist for Mott, while Emmett Smith also scored.
Jon Furton made 35 saves in goal for Mott.
The Corsairs then fell 4-1 at Farmington on Thursday, Feb. 24. The score was tied at 1-1 at the first intermission before Farmington scored 3 goals.
Scott Cuthrell scored Mott’s only goal.
Furton made 34 saves in net for the Corsairs, who played Waterford Kettering in a pre-regional playoff game at Lakeland Ice Arena on Monday, Feb. 28 after press time.
The winner will face Milford or Oxford in the pre-regional final at Lakeland Ice Arena tonight, Wednesday, March 2.
The regional final is Saturday, March 5 at Hartland Ice House.
