Knights lose two; Central, Western split pair of games

Walled Lake Northern dropped two games last week to fall to 9-10 on the season.

Northern began the week with a 70-41 loss at Brighton on Wednesday, Feb. 23.

Northern was led by Ryan Soulet’s 12 points and 4 rebounds and Gage Throgmorton’s 9 points and 3 rebounds.

The Knights then fell at Plymouth in a shootout, 91-83, on Friday, Feb. 25.

Northern led 76-73 with just over 4 minutes left, but Plymouth went 10-for-10 from the free-throw line down the stretch to steal the win.

Jared Sheena led the Knights with 33 points.

Walled Lake Central split two games last week, defeating Livonia Franklin at home, 54-44, on Feb. 23 and falling at Canton, 48-32, on Feb. 25.

Walled Lake Western split two games, losing at Hartland, 53-46, on Feb. 23 and defeating South Lyon East, 74-65 on Feb. 25.

Huron Valley Lakeland dropped two games last week, losing at home to Canton, 37-30, on Feb. 23 and losing in double overtime at Westland John Glenn, 55-54, on Feb. 25.

Huron Valley Milford was defeated at Pinckney, 52-51, on Feb. 23 and lost at Plymouth, 40-25, on Feb. 25.

Waterford Mott lost at home to South Lyon, 44-36, on Friday, Feb. 25.
