Stolen trailer contained snowmobile, ice shanty

A Commerce Township woman returned home on Friday, Jan. 14 to find that someone had stolen a loaded trailer from her residence.

According to Oakland County Sheriff’s Department reports, sometime between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. that day, someone came onto her property in the 3000 block of Viking and stole a trailer loaded with a snowmobile, an ice shanty and ice fishing equipment.

Investigators on the scene noticed there were tracks in the snow leading to where the trailer had been located.
