Waterford Mott dominated its rival, Waterford Kettering, in a 9-1 victory at Lakeland Ice Arena on Saturday, Feb. 5.
Mott led 2-0 at the first intermission and 3-1 at the second intermission before exploding for 6 goals in the third period.
Scott Cuthrell had 4 goals and an assist, while Colin Larkin had 2 goals and 2 assists and JD Clemence had 2 goals and an assist.
Emmett Smith also scored a goal for Mott, who outshot Kettering, 34-17.
Scott Furton made 16 saves in net for Mott (14-4, 9-2 in the KLAA North), which now has 18 points in the KLAA North standings, 7 ahead of second-place Kettering (11-5-3, 5-5-1).
Kettering and Mott will both play at the MPHSHI Showcase at Chelsea this week beginning tomorrow, Thursday, Feb. 10.
