Illegal alien allegedly stole clothes, makeup

A 22-year-old female claiming to be from Waterford Township was determined to be an illegal alien from Mexico after she was allegedly caught stealing $64 worth of clothing and makeup from the Kohl’s department store in White Lake Township.

The incident occurred around 5:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 4, according to White Lake police.

During her questioning by police, she reportedly admitted to being in the country illegally.

The police department contacted Immigration and Naturalization Services (INS), which confirmed that the woman was in the country illegally.

She then was taken to the Oakland County Jail to await INS action.
