Eaglets end skid with 10-point victory over Jesuit

Orchard Lake St. Mary’s snapped a three-game losing streak with a 57-47 victory at home over Detroit Jesuit on Friday, Jan. 28.

St. Mary’s took control of the game with a 21-9 run in the second half. Allen Robinson led the Eaglets with 29 points on the night, while Justin Barrows scored 12.

Chris Jenkins had 22 points to lead Jesuit.

St. Mary’s began the week with a 53-51 loss at home to Birmingham Brother Rice on Tuesday, Jan. 25. The Warriors outscored the Eaglets, 21-10, in the fourth quarter, including a layup by Drew Holinski with 10 seconds left, to steal the win.

Robinson led the Eaglets with 27 points. Denzel Palm had 12.

St. Mary’s was 5-5 overall and 3-3 in the Catholic League Central Division at press time on Monday, Jan. 31, trailing first-place Warren De La Salle (4-1) and Detroit Catholic Central (4-2)

The Eaglets played at Ann Arbor Gabriel Richard on Tuesday, Feb. 1, after press time and will welcome Warren De La Salle on Friday, Feb. 4.
