Deputies seek suspect in ATM armed robbery

Oakland County Sheriff’s Department deputies are looking for a man who robbed a woman at gunpoint near a bank ATM during the evening of Saturday, Jan. 8.

According to an Oakland County Sheriff’s Department report, a woman was approached by a man who pulled a handgun and demanded she withdraw all of her money from an ATM at a Chase Bank branch located in the 2800 block of Union Lake Road.

The woman gave the man $120 and he ran away. A sheriff’s department K-9 unit was called to the scene. The dog was able to track the suspect to the 2500 block of Athena before losing the suspect’s trail.

The suspect was described as a white male, approximately 16-years-old with dirty-blond hair and wearing a tan Carhart jacket and blue jeans.
